The nature tour was a highlight, we saw amazing wildlife with our knowledgeable guide Talvo, and the rooms were cozy with a nice view of the garden. There were plenty of spots to relax, including a hammock area and a comfy lounge space to unwind after our adventures. The beds could use some updating for better comfort, but overall, it was a unique experience that's definitely worth your time! 🌿

The wildlife opportunities here are exceptional. The guided tour revealed various vipers and poison dart frogs, among other creatures. Walking the trails myself added to the thrill, allowing for personal exploration. Plus, the garden view from my room was a wonderful way to wake up in the morning.

The Standard Twin Room with Garden View was clean and comfy enough. Housekeeping did a good job changing the sheets after two nights, and the towels were plentiful. The shower was decent too, which is always a plus. Just the right vibe for being close to nature without losing comfort. No frills, but did the job well!

This place suits me perfectly, offering free wi-fi and 24-hour security. The staff even helped me return forgotten earphones during my first stay. I highly recommend the guided hikes for amazing wildlife.

La Selva Biological Station offers incredible access to a rich ecosystem. I loved the unique experience of staying at a working research facility. The trails are mostly paved and well-maintained, making hiking enjoyable. I spotted a variety of bird species, which was a highlight for me. The accommodations were basic but clean. however, the mattresses were overdue for replacement and could use some attention. I appreciated the cool showers after long hikes, as well as the relaxing porches overlooking the forest. The dining experience was good overall. meals were varied and nutritious. I enjoyed buffet-style dining, which allowed me to choose portions that suited my appetite. However, the lack of air conditioning made it quite warm at night, so be prepared with light bedding. The long walks from the dining area to my room were an adventure in themselves, especially at night with the glow of fireflies and the call of wildlife filling the air. On the flip side, check-in was a bit confusing, especially arriving after dark and not knowing the layout. Ensure you have a flashlight for evening walks to avoid any surprises with snakes. The staff were friendly and helpful, enhancing my overall experience. I had an amazing time but improvements in mattress quality and late-night access to snacks or drinks would elevate the stay further.
